Arts During The Cultural Revolution

During the Cultural Revolution, there was a repair, or an overhaul of many arts.  They were trying to produce more arts, that reflected the benefits, of a socialist party.  As a result of this, many artist during the Cultural Revolution, that had artwork that seemed bourgeoise were not aloud to sell, and the artists were abused or persecuted, and not aloud to work.  At the same time a very popular form of art was the Peking Opera.   Peking Opera is a combination of music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics.  Those are some very poplar, and non-popular/not aloud arts in China, dring the Cultural Revolution.
